Hi everyone. First post here. Thanks for having me.
I joined the forum because I recently bought a Sho Bud Professional from the widow of the original owner who passed away recently. I’ve been speaking to Ricky Davis about it and he tells me it’s a January 1975 build. When I got it, one of the necks was completely disassembled. I considered rebuilding it myself and learning to play it, but Ricky counseled against learning to play on this old girl. So, I’m putting her up for sale in AS-IS condition. I took a bunch of pictures and I can take plenty more, so just ask. I also know a bit about regular electric guitars so I might be able to answer certain questions. I don’t know anything specific to steel guitars, however.
I can say that she’s seen a bunch of gigs but she’s been well loved. Built like a tank. Case is beat up but still pretty solid. From what I can tell, most if not all of the parts are here. For example I put the neck back together and every screw was there. But I can’t say for sure. I sorted out and took pics of everything. If it’s not in a pic, I don’t have it. I also plugged it in to my amp, and she made guitar sounds. No crazy noises or anything. This is about all I know but again feel free to ask questions and I’ll tell you what I can.
Obviously I’ve made no sales here but you can look me up on The Gear Page (NolaB), Reverb, and eBay (Sippiglenn).
Thanks again.
Asking $1600 shipped to conus. Price doesn’t include payment fees.
Local deal in the New Orleans area would be great.
