Yeah, if you are worried about weight a Dekley is not what you are looking for.. I have owned 2 of them, and they are superior playing and dependable GUITARS with a very sweet"old school" pedal steel sound, but they are really HEAVY!

This one that Johnie is selling is gorgeous, one of the nicest Dekley builds I have seen.... It will last a lifetime. The build quality on a Dekley was on a par with MSA guitars of that era IMHO.... bob

Wow! Beautiful guitar Johnnie. I love the Slimline model Dekleys. They are excellent machines and in my experience the weight is worth it. I have a split case for my D-10 and the body is under 50 pounds in the case.

How does she play, compared to my Mullen. I fought with Sho-Bud pedals with every one.

Bump.... You can't go wrong with this Dekley Slimline. Triple raise double lower changer, adjustable springs, Tone and sustain to die for, smooth easy playing steel guitar. Built with most of today's modern technologies.
I've had mine for 15 years and it's my main axe. Bump, Bump, Bump....

If I was still in the market, I'd be on this like white on rice. Beautiful, and looks new. Johnie does a great job with his refurbs. The Dekley, like the old BMI guitars, are heavy for good reason. I'd just put a set of wheels on the case. I've seen Dekley's up close and personal, and just about bought one back in the early 80's.

Besides all the above mentioned qualities, the fingers are hardened chrome and do not groove plus almost no cabinet drop. The ease of pedaling is second to none.Ken
