Does anyone make light weight steel guitar cases? I understand Steve Hinson use to do them (I have had two on order for quite some time from him) but have no indication that I will be getting them. Too bad; understand they are great). I’m 84, still playing, and have a bum shoulder, so I need all the help I can get! Thanks

Scott Dixon, very light weight but sturdy. If just transporting in own vehicle a padded keyboard bag works great.

You might consider split cases to divide the load. Hatton cases makes good ones and they are listed in the links here on the Forum. You put the body of the guitar in one case and the pedal bar and rods in the other. I notice Mullen now offers split cases as an option now with their guitars.

You might look at a Gator Keyboard case G-PG-49 is what I used with a D10 Carter I had and it worked great guitar fits nicely and this model case has a full length zipper pouch that holds the pedal bar away from the guitar.
Total weight was around 6 pounds

Good luck
Barry

I use a Kace's 39 key keyboard gig bag with a plywood half case inside.
