I recently acquired a D10 EMCI that I absolutely love. I only have one problem I have encountered and looking for some advice or a solution. The levers on my right knee seem to be placed fairly close together compared to my left knee. Due to this, I find that, mainly my 1st and 2nd strings on E9, are slightly out of tune due to the levers being ever so slightly engaged with just my knee being there. I use these as my typical changes, but certain chords and runs sound off. Is there a way to go about adjusting these or? Other solutions? Even a 1/4" would do the trick.

Pardon if this seems elementary, but are you aware that the knee levers have a small allen screw or bolt in the end that lets you adjust the tilt of the lever giving you more knee clearance between them?

I don't have mine anymore, but I'm pretty sure this is a feature on MCI guitars.

Jerry,
I'll be honest, I haven't really dug into the problem yet enough to even look! That seems like it could be a fix. I wanted to ask and get advice such as yours to give me a place to start. I appreciate it.

You're welcome. I added a photo of my old Rangexpander MCI that might explain it better than my text.

If you are a little bit mechanically inclined, and what Jerry said to do does not work for you. Just move the one you feel is too close. All you have to do is drill carefully a few holes, and re-adjust the rods. You have to make "YOUR STEEL" fit YOU.
