Hi all, I know this question has been asked/answered a million times, but where to go to get some lap steel lessons. I am in central California (Monterey Bay), but don’t know of anyone locally. I have limited experience with D (E) tuning, but want to learn C6 or A6 for more versatility. Don’t mind Western swing or Hawaiian, but I’m more into David Lindley than Bob Wills. I contacted “Learn With Pat” for online lessons but never got a reply. Suggestions?

Steve Cunningham is a forum member and a really good teacher. I’ve been taking lessons with him since January. I can’t recommend him highly enough.

He does lessons over video and it’s really workable. I went to him specifically because I wanted to learn more Lindley than twangy
