Have a JD Aura and at gig last night it failed for the second time......no output and when you trouch the volume control it would come back intermittently...but then final went to no output at all. Had the same problem with it over a year ago sent it back and they "fixed" it. Anyone else have problems with this pedal like this??? _________________ Beard E-model, Martin D-28 CW, Mullen Discovery, Kemper Profiler,Bose L1 Compact |

Does the volume control make noise when you rotate it?
I know nothing about these pedals, but it's possible the volume control pot is causing the problem. I've seen this happen in other devices to the point it will cut out audio altogether.
If you can get to the pot, try spraying some contact cleaner down in there and working the pot back and forth. Even if you can't get to it, maybe pull the knob and pot attaching nut and spray down in there.
That's all I got. |

Failures are very..very rare. No consolation, I know.
My only recommendation would be to check the controls (inc the gain on the side), all cables, including battery and/or power supply for intermittents.
Beyond that, either repair or replacement.
Sorry.

seems i may have fixed it......opened it up and the volume control solder connections look like cold solder joints to me...so reheated ...nice and shiny ...put back together tightened up screw on knob nice and snug. no play and works perfectly.. _________________ Beard E-model, Martin D-28 CW, Mullen Discovery, Kemper Profiler,Bose L1 Compact |

The controls are mounted to the circuit board, so any physical "hit" runs a good chance of breaking the solder joints or the board. I had it happen twice on the road to the blend control.
Poor design, but what isn't these days?

I bought one used that had this problem, pulled the pedal apart and one of the rotary encoders was broken. Fishman sent me a couple of new ones to solder in...problem solved. |

Glad you found and fixed the problem Terry. I'll say this about the Fishman company. Their customer service has been terrific for me.
I got some great info from tech Derek and they replaced some Nashville pickup parts for me that some installer messed up at no charge.
Can't beat that. It's great to know there are companies and people that actually do give a damn. |

I agree with Jerry. I had an issue with my Aura pedal and Fishman tech support walked me through the fix on the phone. _________________ '75 Emmons p/p, Duesenberg Alamo, Dobro with Hipshot, Nashville 112, Little Walter 22/50, Fender Blues Deluxe, and enough effects gear to fill a dump truck. |

I bought a used Fishman Aura that had a bad selector knob. If not under warranty, Fishman will repair it for a flat $50.00. Turnaround was about 3 weeks. _________________ ShoBud Pro 1, 75 Tele, 85 Yamaha SA 2000, Fender Cybertwin, |
