Red Jenkins passed away unexpectedly a few days ago. He and his wife Gunilla made frequent trips to the US (Texas in particular) to record and visit. He had a long and successful career, and he loved steel guitar.

Here is a taste of Red's music:

Please be in prayer for Red's wife Gunilla. She is battling dementia and much of Red's time of late was spent caring for her.

So long Red. We will sure miss you pal.

So sad to read of his passing.
He truly loved the honky-tonk music.
Prayers for his wife, family and friends..
R.I.P. Red.

Loved his music. I spend the whole morning listening to the
whole discography put up by Tommy Detamore. Brought a few tears to my eyes. He recorded with every country singer I could think of. Beautiful arrangements.

He was a really nice guy. I met him and Gunilla on the plane from Stockholm to Chicago 10th of March 2020 (2 days before Covid19 started. You remember?). I was going to Texas Steel show and they were going to some of the many friends they have in US. He was a fantastic entertainer. So sad to here the news about him passing. RIP!

OH So sorry to hear this. Red was such a kind soul and loved Country music to no end. Me and Leslie loved recording on a couple/few songs with Red and it was as Country as you can get. Go rest High Red and thank you for your light when you were here. RIP.
