Hi lapsteelers,

Had my second vaccination today, doors are slowly opening, so on the move this time! Very Happy
The Choo Choo takes off !

It took a number of hours to find pleasant positions, and still there are some choices I both like.
You'll see that in the "middle" part, same notes, different playing.

My YouTube version is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aBBCh1Cd2kA

Not really easy, but awarding when you keep practicing!
For those who want to try: just email me, and I'll send you the complete three-page PDF and mp3 backing.
And this time I'll add a second slower take of the backing for practice.
Hope you like it, all the best,
Bert

I watched this on YouTube yesterday and I think Bert has done a great version of this “good old” tune, proving what you can achieve with a 6 string Lap Steel.
His tablature and backing tracks are also very well produced.
Thanks again Bert.
Keith.

Bert you have created a wonderful challenging arrangement of Chattanooga Choo Choo. Nice to have a slower backing track for practice! Always enjoy your work. Wink

Mike Fish mailed me with a comment. In short: too much slants in the b-part! Shocked
I'm always saying, that slants are part of lapsteel playing, but in this case he was absolutely right! Smile
There's a nice alternative with the bar straight.
For all of you here's the new complete version.
(the difference is in bar 25-28, 33-36 and 49-52)
Good luck, its a nice challenge!
Bert

Thanks again Bert. I'm learning lap steel guitar coming from traditional guitar background. You're arrangements make learning the lap steel easier...and fun.
