In the last quarterly issue of HSGA, there is an ad for a new tapered bar.
It is a titanium bar measuring 3-1/8" long and tapering from 13/16" to 5/8" and weighing in at 3.1 ounces.
It's called the "Amos" Steel Bar and available from Arthur's Music Store in Indianapolis, IN.
The web site is www.ArthursMusic.com

I recently bought a '51 Ricky panda that came with a tapered bar about that size. What are the advantages and drawbacks of a tapered bar? It kind of feel like the forward slants are easier but the reverse slants are harder.

I like to play lap steel with a tapered bar.
It just puts your wrist at a more comfortable angle. Very Happy
