Okay, I know how lame this sounds but, without immersing myself in the world of new digital/download/streaming, etc., I want to know if it's still possible to buy a reasonable home-CD player that employs its own amp.
What about those Bose units that were popular a while ago? It looks as though I'll be staying close-to-home from now on because of health concerns. I want to be able to listen, and to play along with, my huge library of music CDs, but would like decent sound-quality.
Thanks, _________________ Roger Rettig: Emmons D10, B-bender Teles and Martins - and, at last, a Gibson Super 400!

I'm pretty sure that most single disc DVD players will also play music CDs. Although they may not play CDRs with mp3s. I recently bought a couple of Sony players. 33.00 each. |

I downloaded MusicBee, a free media player. Â
https://getmusicbee.com/
Then I ripped my CDs to my computer.  I have 1,567 tracks at easy access. Â
I also loaded all the tracks to a Lexar 32GB Jump Drive and can play them in my pickup truck.Â
