Future pedal steel country rock (and film animation) legend Sneaky Pete Kleinow on his Fender quad in 1956. I have Pete's solo CD from the early 90s. He was an innovative player with a lot of personality to his sound.

And he was a film animator for the shows “Gumby” and “Davey and Goliath” among others.
It looks like his quad might have had some pedals added.

I was told he worked on the skeleton sequence in Total Recall (at about 8:28 in this clip) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=61eEJ2QYa7g

Great pic; thanks for sharing. The lady resembles my mom in 1956. But unfortunately, ma never had a Gibson Jumbo.

About the same as his Fender 400 pedal steel, I'd say.

Looks like he was using a black rajah and from the angle of his left foot, there were some coat hangers connected to those tuners

Awesome pic! Gotta be late '56 because that's a '57 model year Chet Atkins Gretsch, just like Duane's! Shocked
