I've purchased a ShoBro 6 string square neck, but it came with a gig bag. I'd like to get a hardshell case for it. Maybe a dreadnaught or something that will accommodate it's wider lower bout. Any suggestions? |

How wide is the lower bout? I recently got an oversized square neck hard case from Musician's Friend (on sale for $69 and a pretty decent hard case) that will hold a square neck guitar with a lower bout of up to about 15 1/4 to 15 1/2 inches. It also handles a deeper body than most reso cases. If the Sho Bro is any wider than this, you'll probably have to get a dreadnought case and modify the neck cradle to accomodate the square neck.

Yeah, modified dreadnought case is probably your only bet. |

Modifying the neck support isn't a real big deal--I've done it on several cases.

Is it just cutting it lower? |

Pretty much--you have to strip back the lining, cut the neck block square and glue the lining back in.
