Thanks for sustaining this web group. It's interesting, it's useful, and it's entertaining. The global steel guitar community owes you a great big THANKS for your vision, commitment, and skill in herding this particular flock of cats!

Well said Doug!

When you live in the most isolated city in the world (Perth, Western Australia), it's a privilege to have and be part of this Forum.
Thank you BoB!

Yeah... for over 25 years now. I remember the old-OLD Forum still. Window 95 and people discovering subjects like Just Intonation and Equal Temperament and Push Pull vs. All Pulls and the new internet lynch-squats and the name calling.
Lot's of new enemies made, a few friends too. Ha! Very Happy

I remember introducing a marvelous steel guitarist to another at a little concert. They were instantly friendly UNTIL one disclosed being on the Forum too and then, big mistake, his "handle" on the Forum... and the other exclaimed "WHAT?!?! You are #^&*@!%^#? I HATE you!" and walked away fuming. We just looked at each others, not knowing that "Reality Shows"and "Influencers" and "Likes" were just around the corner to change our world. Laughing

The 10'000's post (and we thought then, THAT was a LOT. We stopped counting soon thereafter).
We've come a long way, some of us even came to learn to take all that internet chatter ("Bar-Chatter" we called it) was not to be taken soooo seriously.

YouTube seemed to take over, other Forums came and went... but this one stayed!
Thanks to B0b, really.

... J-D.

It's a push-pull. Winking

Thanks for the kudos, but it's the members who really make this place. I just watch the front gate and do a bit of janitorial work on the side.
