Sensational. Rick you really do a good job of editing all the views together and matching them to the audio.
Excellent listening and viewing.
What's the DAW? Are you still using Band-in-a-Box for drums and bass?
I look forward to hearing each release.

DAW is Presonus Studio One. Drums on this one are BIAB Real Drums, Bass starts with BIAB MIDI but gets edited in DAW to tweak the walks. Steel and Tele are through Warm Audio WA73 pre, then into Presonus interface. In fact, that's the signal chain for everything. Then in the DAW the guitars get inserted with Positive Grid Bias Amp II and various compression, EQ, reverb, etc... Mics are basically WA184 for acoustic instruments and Audio Technica 4047 for vocals.

Thanks for posting your “Bandâ€....my kind of classic country that many of us heard growing up. As a multi-instrumentalist myself, I can appreciate you keeping your skills/chops in very fine shape thank you. On a side note (Pun Intended), my Williams side is from the Sneedville area...My WWII Army retired Dad, Carl Williams, Sr., rests in the Williams Family cemetery there. Carl |

It's a small world sometimes. I grew up here, was gone for 30+ years, moved back and retired in 2015. I know a lot of Williams folks here. Thanks for the compliments.

Great work on everything Rick! Really good sound and video. Having the talent to wear all hats must leave you lost in your options of what to record next. Nice place to be.
May I ask what video software do you use to get multiple images at once on the monitor? |

Thank you for the compliments. These productions are a combination of Band In A Box, EZ Drummer, EZ Keys, MIDI, Presonus Studio One, Acapella, Movavi Video Editor Plus, along with my playing and vocals. It's not really complicated once you get the routine down and understand it. I learn something everytime I do one of these.

Maybe for you. I wrestle with BIAB once in a while, and I find it to be horribly contrary, at least to my way of thinking how it SHOULD work... LOL..

I understand. It usually takes the combination of software and actual playing to get things the way I want, and its still no substitute for a real band.... one that knows how and when to play. However, to be able to do it all yourself, it works pretty good.
One thing I've learned over the years is that its all about the singing. Us musicians pay a lot of attention to the music, the rhythm tracks, the lead breaks, the fills, timing, dynamics, etc... but the general public focuses on the vocals, and don't really notice the music talent that makes it all sound good. If you sing a song that people like, and they like your performance, you can get by with just average playing.
Not really fair to the musicians that work so hard to be good players, but that's how it seems to work.

Yeah, absolutely.. I've butchered songs musically on guitar or steel about a zillion times, and conversely just killed it, and the audience seldom notices or mentions any difference.
However, I've overheard a club patron chastise a front guy/singer for leaving out a verse, or messing up a lyric more than once. I think we as musicians tend to forget that, John Q. Public (typically NOT musicians) usually pay attention to the words first.
