Hoping someone might have a good suggestion. I am working my way through the Foundations E9 course by Paul Franklin slowly and painfully. One of the many challenges I am having is that I wear a size 13 extra wide shoe. When I try to activate a single pedal like just the B pedal I always hit the A and or C as well even wearing the narrowest tennis shoes I have. Is there a good technique to develop or should I try pointy toe cowboy boots? Between this and understanding the music theory in the course I'm on the struggle bus. |

There will be others who explain this better than me, but even an average foot is not expected to cover only one pedal at a time. Rather, you rotate your ankle to press the one you want with the side of your foot, from a home position of AB or BC. This rocking between pedals is a basic skill. _________________ Make sleeping dogs tell the truth!

I'm size 13 EE. You just have to roll your foot so you catch the pedal with the inside or outside edge of your foot. If I were you, I would ask Paul for his input on the Facebook page.
PS. I also have custom pedals that are longer than normal stock pedals. That made a huge difference for me. |
