Gene Haugh

The Director of Collections and Programs at the SC State Museum sent me an inquiry about a Gene Haugh. the info he has is that he is/was an instrument builder in SC and has some info that he made a steel guitar or guitars.

Does anyone have any info that I can pass on about this gentleman? What era?
