Apologies that I've been starting a lot of threads, but boy is deciding on what direction to go with a new instrument tricky!

I'm interested in hearing from folks who play U14 on tuning ideas. Once I get that sorted it's on to copedents.

Seems like the tunings I have seen that interest me all take the most standard U12 tuning, add a low E, and then have space for one more string in the mix. Those include one of the following:

13th string G#
11th string F#
9th string D
1st string G#

E (G#) B E (F#) G# B (D) E F# G# B E G# D# F# (G#)

I'm currently trying to decide between the 13th string G# and the 9th string D, but would love to know what others have chosen and why.

Thanks,
Baron

I don't think that guy is on the Forum anymore. You may have to just take your best guess on the copedent.
