Before I mess something up.........

I just acquired and old Oahu Tonemaster. Sounds great and love it BUT the 1st (high) string is a bit louder and piercing than it should be. How do I adjust? The screw for that string looks pretty much down and I don't want to force it.

Try lowering the pickup (at least that side) and raising the other poles.
