Looking for a 3X4 beginner pedal steel guitar in the $800-$1200ish range. I have heard great things about the Zum Stage One, which seems ideal for me. I would like to avoid a Carter Starter and don't mind paying a little extra to do so.

Guitar player for 13 years, picked up a lap steel to put off my PSG craving just before the pandemic but now is the time for the real thing. Thanks!
