Checkout the Carvin pedal steel. I have some feelers out locally to see who the player is.

What is interesting is the 8 sets of bolt/screw heads in the Front Apron, In definite patterns. It looks as if at one time it was a a full pedal steel, With 8 pedals and had been cut back to a console steel.
Does have a unique sound, In the players hands. |

I saw a carvin pedal steel,d-8 i think,for sale a few years back,i think on reverb.
This one in the video is the 2nd one ive ever heard tell of.
I read some where they were cable pull,fender-ish.
I enjoy Cajun music.
I kinda think Mr.Mooney liked it too. |

I used to get the Carvin catalog back in the 60's. They offered pedal steels back then. They offered both 8 and 10 string single and double neck models as I remember. They used a cable system somewhat like that used by Fender, but not exactly the same. |

Did you ask Johnnie? He’s on Facebook and I think I have his number. _________________ Rittenberry Prestige(2) |

Awesome! Thanks for sharing this Marty. Yeah it looks as though that Carvin was a pedal guitar at some point but had the pedals taken off... or maybe he forgot to bring them to the gig. I love all the old commercials in between the songs too lol.

Carvin.com has all of their catalogs through
the years with their steel guitars listed.
Their pedal steels began in ~> 1965.
