I recently got a Peterson Strobo Flip from a member on here that I an buying my Emmons from, he bought it new and after a few months of using it, it died on him. No lights, no nothing. Has anyone had this happen? Any fixes?

Ask Peterson directly, their Support/ Cust Service is absolutely top notch.

https://www.petersontuners.com/support/

(Doesn't seem to be an easy way to open it up and look at solder/connectors on that unit and also website states

Peterson tech support. If there's a fix it'll come from them! I'm not aware of any firmware/hardware reset.

Already did, I might opt out for that charge, seems like a simple fix.

I had 2 including one that was heavily used by me and previous owner and looked like a hockey puck towards teh end, i thought they were indestructible.

Oh, and opening it up, i found the screws that hold the control plate on the lower clamshell, they're just really small. So opening it up is easy, getting everything back in the clamshell, that's on you. I hope nobody plugged a 9v tip negative into it, easy mistake to make

I hope not. I already checked it today, replaced the battery wires as they were super corroded and "burnt"

Some years back I plugged in the wrong voltage plug pack and blew the power converter chip.
As I'm in New Zealand, I contacted Peterson who sent me the chip which my clever son installed for me. It has been working well ever since. I now never use a Power Pack on it only Batteries.

Yeah if anyone tried an alternative wall wart on it with a negative tip (which most have) it'll blow that chip in a second.

Everything looks great on the board, should I ask them for that chip?

Just called and they said it's either the zenor diode or the convertor chip.

EDIT: The 5.1 diode tests bad, I'll replace it later today!

I blew mine up when I accidentally plugged the power supply for my Hilton volume pedal into it. Had Peterson repair it.
