Come on guys.....if you really must dismantle a perfectly good D10 into an SD10, at least PLUG THE HOLE in the changer end plate. It seems that might be a good business to be in now days.....making nice neat changer
"Hole Covers".
Maybe there is already??? _________________ Sho-Bud Steel Guitars, 3 Super Pro's, 1 Super Pro II (Rose) & 1 Finger Tip

I like too also plug the end plate hole. I was commissioned too make this MSA DOUBLE
12 into a Sd12. An to plug the changer hole I use maple wood the thickness of the deck
I make a pattern then sand an glue too fit snugly in the changer hole.

Emmons used the same end plates for both single and double necks without plugging the open space, did not appear to deter people from playing them. |

Johnie, nice machining work on covering the hole, great fit, like the idea too of inserting maple into the top deck changer empty space but what about that pad? I like it too but what kind of critter did you skin? |

Jerry it looks like Johnie may have killed and used the hyde of the rare, almost extinct Naugah's. I'm afraid the "Naugah Lives Matter" may find this unacceptable! |

Neil, I agree but there are some on here that think they have to make an SD-10 out of every D-10. I've seen many classic guitars destroyed on here only to have the spare parts end up some illegitimate ax. The people doing it think they are providing a service. To me it's like putting an outhouse in an elevator, there is just no point. |

I dunno-this is weird to me.
Muscle cars of the 60's & 70's are sweet but sometimes they were made as four doors and you're not caught dead driving that.
Would you cut and weld one to make it a two door? A C6 neck makes a perfectly good arm rest. |

Hey...just learn a little C6th....you might find you really like it!!!! It definitely has a sweet sound of it's own, and the lows that come from strings 9 & 10 just CAN NOT be replicated!!!

I agree with Lee. I hate to see these vintage guitars mutilated. It's like throwing half the guitar away. |
