Chuck, there is several videos of Travis playing it at the Texas show in a jam room, on YouTube. I don't have a link but have watched several recently.

The Quilter TT15 is a recent model. If Travis is using his signature amp last year at the Texas show, it is the TT12 model.

Several Travis clips on youtube but all of them I see are for the TT12. There are specs for the TT15 on Quilter's site, but no clips.

My bad. They are of the TT 12. Quilter is lacking on proper videos of its products. It's crucial to our decision making process. Until a forum member posts a demo, we have no clue.

Unless someone is a "must have 15" speaker" person, the TT12 is all that is needed. I get as much (maybe more) low end out of my TT12 as I did with a Quilter Steelaire rack type amp and an Eminence EPS-15C speaker.

The Quilter "Blockdock 12" speaker cabinet is a partially closed back and sort of acts as a ported speaker enclosure.

The Session 115 looks awesome as well but it's also 54lbs vs 37. Anyway thanks again.

I had both. If you like a 15" than stay with it. The 15" TT is a great speaker as is the 12" TT, but there is a big difference in the fullness and body of a 15", especially if that is what you are used to. The 12" sounds good, but if you put them side by side, you would have to be tone deaf not to hear the difference.

I have a Steelaire, and like it a lot. It took me little while to dial in the tone I like, but once I did I was very happy.

I have a pedal that simulates a dobro sound hard wired into the effects loop. One flick of a switch on the leg controller, and voila: instant ped-a-bro.

Guys thank's for all the great information and views. I have decided to go with a Quilter Steelaire with a 15". Pleanty of power and crystal clear mids and highs. The clarity and string separation is truly amazing. This amp is cutting edge for sure. Amazing qualiy I couldn't be happier.

Thanks again.

Make sure you get the optional switch box that clips on to the leg of your steel.
