I have a BL-705 wide mount pickup.

Is the body of the chrome housing the same size on both wide mount & the narrow mount?

I see two screws on the bottom mounting plate that appear the same location on both style pickups.

Is it possible to change the mounting plate on a wide mount into a narrow mounting plate.

Thanks for any help

Larry

Yes it is Larry. They came with both plates when they were bought new.

If you need a narrow mount plate, I should have one here. I made up a few some time back.

Someone told me they tried to remove the plate on the re-issue ones and said that it ruined the coils, but that's not the case with the original BL705's. The chrome case wraps all the way around the bottom of the pickup with just 2 holes drilled for the mounting plate.

I have had this pickup many years.
It only has one wire & a shield or ground.
Is this a humbucker?
I also have a Performance Steel it has the same BL-705's
