I was looking for a small amp to leave in my shop, and found one of these Roland Cube 15 amps used at a guitar center for 59.99. I hooked it up to my Sierra Session d-10, a reverb pedal, and I am shocked at how good this thing sounds. And for a 15 watt amp it is LOUD. All using an 8 inch speaker.
Very Impressive for the $$.
Anyone else try one of these? I know the 60 and 80 cubes are out there |

I have two Rolands, a Cube40XL and a Mobile Cube. Both sound great for steel, probably the built-in compression and reverb. The Mobile Cube is a favorite of Bobby Ingano and Kevin Brown... cute little stereo battery-powered amp, 5watts. The Cube 40XL has a bunch of built-in models and effects, none of which I use... just the Clean with some reverb. Bonus is it fits nicely on the back seat of my motorcycle, and is loud enough to keep up at the American Legion steel show (remember those?). _________________ New FB Page: Lap Steel Licks And Stuff: https://www.facebook.com/groups/195394851800329 |
