I posted this on YouTube today. E13 tuning (tuning listed in the video description). Guyatone D-8... the perfect guitar for Sukiyaki! Thanks for watching.

Hi Doug, I loved your playing Sukiyaki. Which is bigger, the number of friends you have or the number of guitars?

Thanks guys Smile Manny, I'm down to about six steel guitars now. Sold some in recent years... although I have a new Mullen G2 S-10 on order now. Smile

By the way, this Guyatone has an interesting logo... a music store in Rhode Island. Probably from the 1960s or 70s. I don't know if the company put the logo on or had Guyatone put them on at the factory.

Thanks Tom and Carl, if you're playing E9 pedal steel, the first part of the melody lays out pretty well on fret 3... very similar to what I play in the video. You'll have to push pedal A to get one of the notes. I'm playing E13 tuning and the version I'm using is very close to E9 PSG tuning. The bottom 6 strings are the same as pedal steel E9.

That's great, David! I remember hearing "Diana" on the radio when I was a youngster.
