Can anyone tell me if the Blond Tonemaster has the mods already instaled. I have both regular Tonemasters and I tried to upload the mods but I can't unzip the file. Any help would be appreciated. |

Chuck,
Yes the TM blonde amps have the reverb tweak and the Deluxe has the bright cap clip mod.
Just FYI, you may not have the right micro USB cable. There are a lot of these cables out there but some are only for charging and don't transfer information. I've had a few folks ask with this problem and once they got the right cable it worked. Read through this if you haven't already and see if there's anything you missed before. Hope you get this resolved. No reason to buy a new amp if you can get it to work.

I had the cable issue Rick mentioned.
After I got the correct cable, “data” not just “charging” at Best Buy $6. Or wherever, Amazon, I got on the phone with fender tech support, and they walked me through it.
My tech skills are poor, and the support was excellent. |

Thank you for the info. All I had to do was go and get the proper media cord. The cord I was using was a charging cord. Thank you so much. Chuck |

My problem with the upgrade was with the "unzip" of the file. Once I got unzip software everything went smooth. Although it is an improvement in the onboard reverb, and I could use it if I was playing out anywhere, I still prefer a reverb pedal with plate or hall reverbs
However, this is the best amp I have had in the last 45 years. [Since my original Twins in the 70s.] |
