If any of you are interested in trying the Kemper units, I JUST got one, and was immediately able to dial up a nice, juicy lap steel tone. Check it out:

I used a profile of a Bandmaster, cranked up a bit, and pushed it with a boost.....then added some reverb and phase shifter.

Some things I immediately liked were the natural dynamics and FEEL under your fingers. Even through my studio monitors, it feels like a tube amp. This wasn't true of any other modeler I tried.

I still have lots of learning to do, but so far, so good. Next goal.....good PSG sounds!

BTW....this is just a quick vid through my studio monitors and iPhone.......recorded or direct, it sounds MUCH better.
