Hi all. Just bought a 1957 Stringmaster, with a few miles done! Missing some parts - one knob, both bridge covers and both blend knobs. Apart from ebay, are there any sources for these parts - or anybody have them for sale? Thanks!

The knobs are just Telecaster knobs. Your choice whether to pay a fortune for an original one or get a repro. I think a 57 would have had the flat top "Top Hat" knobs, same as a Tele from that year so not convinced your remaining one is original anyway
The blend lnobs are cosmetic - you can turn the shaft by hand and it's really just a set and forget control.
If you find the bridge covers, the blend knobs will be hidden anyway.
Interesting that your serial number is preceded by a dash. That seems to be the mark of a 57 Fender (guitars as well as steels) and nobody lbows why. Just about every 57 has that and I've never seen it on any other year. |

What Jeff said . 57 is a good year , your's has my favourite scale , 24 1/4 " . Looks like the switch tip isn't quite right , but replacements are easy to find. Same as a Telecaster . You should post in the "Wanted to buy " section of the forum , those parts may turn up there . Jerry |

I'm thinking that the bridge covers that Jimmie Hudson sells will probably fit. Nice original Stringmaster. |

Thanks guys. Repro parts should do me, although I might hold out for original bridge covers to fit the patina of the instrument. |
