DADACD
(low to high)
Similar to DACDAD, but this tuning gives you a two octave D5 power chord on the bottom for some extreme rawkin’
Lots of fun playing along with blues backing tracks, or just improvising solo. _________________ Current Tunings:

Just curious if anyone else has had a go at this tuning?
It’s probably not a tuning that anyone would keep as their primary tuning, but I enjoyed playing with it... wonder if anyone else here tried it out. _________________ Current Tunings:

A year later, and I'm back to it again. It's actually pretty good for blues, whether major or minor. The modal D, with the addition of the flatted 7 makes up for the colour missing from modal dyad tuning, like DADDAD.
If one wanted to, the C could replace any of the Ds, for example DACDAD, might work better from somebody. If one normally uses DADGAD as modal (sus4) tuning, it might be fun to try DACGAD--though that might be easier to handle on a fretted guitar.
Anyway, just another (possibly) useless footnote in my lap steel adventures. _________________ Current Tunings:
