Does anybody know what kind of tuning Harland Powell was using with Boxcar Willie? Looked like a reddish colored MSA 12 string he was playing. |

Harlin was one of a few early influences on me growing up in Dallas. He play steel with Sonny James before "Young Love". |

There was a video on YouTube a few years ago where Boxcar was singing "Wabash Cannonball" and "I Love The Sound Of A Whistle", and during the steel solo on "Wabash Cannonball", Boxcar introduces Harland, saying he's playing the Hawaiian pedal electric steel guitar, and the steel is the same Mullen. |

I met Harland when we opened for Boxcar Willie in Norfolk Nebraska. He was gracious enough to let me play my set through his amp. I didn't know him well, but his kindness to me will always be remembered. What a nice gentleman and a darned good picker too. Rest in Peace my friend! _________________ Justice Pro Lite 4x5....
