I know there are many variables: cables, body size, player’s hands, etc...just wondering if it might be justified to get a pickup replacement for a Fender-Bud Artist to get a slightly closer sound to a Fender 800 or a 400. I really like the carriage as is, 3x4 with my Artist, and it’s such a light guitar..just curious if there was a way to move the “goal posts” slightly towards the earlier Fender sound and if pickups would help? If so, what would be the ohm rating and are there any places to get a pickup rewound? Thanks, Dennis

Try Jerry Sentell. He’s done good work for me rewinding Fender Dual Professional Boxcar pickups. I’ve also bought new pickups from him. https://www.sentellpickups.net/Steel.html
