Which strings would you get ? I’m playing a Emmons if that makes a y different. Jagwire Nickel Strings or SIT Emmons Signature Series Nickel. Thank y’all for your help. God Bless everyone, Merry Christmas. |

Terry, try both then decide. I use SIT for all my pedal steels for their price and availability, plus they sound good. But only you can decide on the tone. |

Wow Terry,
You must change your strings real often. It has barely been a year since I sold you 24 sets of George L's Stainless.
Keep on a picking.

The SIT nickel wound sets are hard to knock for an Emmons, especially for the price, Buddy himself asked for that set back in the 80s and they’re still making them. The plain 0.022” sixth string is a big part of the Emmons sound. |

I always used George L's on the Franklin. But with the GFI I've switched to SIT's. I tried the SIT Buddy Emmons as that is what GFI uses and sells but finally settled on the SIT "SHO BUD" gauges.
When I had an Emmons I used the Lashley Extra Lively strings. Don't remember the gauges on those. |
