Well I always said I would take this Kline to my grave with me,,,but it is time for it to find a new home. Since I've had my finger joint replacement it is going to be a while, if ever I can play again,,,can't afford to "collect" guitars,,so. This is an S12 Kline, 1983 model, 7/4 with a little provenance. It was owned by Jeff Newman, played by him on the 1983 ISGC in St. Louis. The copedent is still set up the same way he had it, Day pedals with the same set up used on his instructional material. There is considerable
"checking" on the lacquer finish as to be expected with the age of guitar,,,otherwise in excellent playable condition. I do have the hardware for a 5th knee lever. I would have to have $2250 plus s/h.

Hi Sonny,
So sorry to hear of your finger surgery....I’m watching your threads on a regular basis as I too play u12 steels, and also buy and sell to try as many as possible....I have a Kline now, (as well as other u12’s) but like it enough to have another in the stable....What is the actual copedant on this particular steel ?...Thanks for your time, and wish you a speedy recovery on your finger....Sincerely, Jim

Thanks James,,yes, I've always tried to have a couple of Klines. The copedent is the exact same as has in his instruction material on E9/B6 (used to be on the website??) except instead of ABC pedals they are CBA (as Jeff himself played).

I have two Klines, one lacquer and one Formica. I would not sell them to get another guitar if I had a choice. Sonny, I hope you do not regret the sale. And to prospective buyers, this guitar always plays as if it left Joe's factory or garage the day before.
