Still have the steel Bob custom built for me years ago. It was far from a standard build. He did a great job!

I'm so sorry to hear this. Bob could play extremely well. He knew steels from the inside out. RIP _________________ Carter 12 string 4petals 5knees, Mullen G2 3 petals 4 knees

I spent a lot of Saturday mornings at Bob’s shop drinking coffee, working on guitars, telling lies, and understanding that I’ll never be anywhere near the musician he was. Rest easy dear friend. _________________ GFI SD-10 Ultra, Sho Pro The Lloyd Green, Heavy-ass Fender Amps. |

Sorry to hear this. I bought my first steel from Bob back in the late 7o's. Over the years he has done some work for me and I played a few gigs with him. RIP |

oh no, very sorry to hear that. Great guy, had his own guitar design, and was involved in the creation of the universal back in the day. I believe he was originally an aircraft mechanic. I was really looking fwd to our next conversation. |

What a loss to the steel guitar community.
He was a genuinely nice guy…I don’t think you’ll find anyone to say otherwise.
He built some nice and reasonably priced steel guitars. I always planned on having him build me a custom guitar, but I never got around to it…a move that I’ll surely regret.

Bob made me a wonderful left handed E9 a few years back, a great instrument well past its price point. Such a pleasant and insightful gentleman. He shared some fond memories of his childhood in the Bay Area, and added some features while building my guitar when a plumbing issue in his shop sidelined the build for a short bit. Sad to hear of his passing. |

I’m so sorry to hear this. I spoke with Bob before Thanksgiving. Such a nice guy. I already have one of his PSG’s and it plays and sounds great, very lightweight. He said he may have enough parts laying around to build another one.
Thanks for posting his obituary.
My condolences to Bob’s friends and family. |

I met Bob’s family and Barry Coker today at a “ Celebration of Life” event in Bob’s honor. He was dearly missed and regarded by everyone attending the loving memorial . _________________ I thought Nashville was the roughest, but I know I’ve said the same about them all.

May he rest in peace. I love that guitar he built me. He was a true friend. _________________ I am currently running a Simmons SD10, Peavey Nashville 400 that's packing a 15" BW, Peavey Delta Fex effects processor, and a Match Box. Best rig I've ever run and the sound is truly incredible. |
