I'm wondering if anyone has a recommendation for an excellent reconing service for EV Force series speakers. I bought one on eBay (I know, I know) and it arrived with a rubbing voice coil. I would like the reconer to use a factory recone kit. Thanks in advance! TC |

These guys have reconed a couple of EV speakers for me, I'm not sure if the SRO was an EV cone, but it sure sounds great!
The EVM still had an EV on the cap when I got it back. |

Thanks Bill and Mark. I'll keep your recommendations. The eBay seller allowed the return.
Cheers and happy new year! |

Happy new Year TC and all y'all!
Next time you're looking into a recone, consider doing it yourself. Dave Zirbel and I reconed a couple of JBL's last year...it was incredibly easy with the kits Dave had purchased.
I'd always considered reconing one of those things that was difficult for us mere mortals...not so! |

Happy New Year to you too Ross. Thanks for the suggestion. I’ve always wanted to learn to recone. I have the shop space to do it. Hmmmm...thinking....., |
