I've been listening to Susan's new CD, and I think its one of her best. Actually, it’s by “The Susan Alcorn Quintet,” and the reason it’s so good is that She is interacting with 4 other musicians who are as good at what they do, as she is at what she does. This is the band Susan has been waiting for her entire life.

As you all know, Susan is a unique stylist. Nobody plays like her, and she tends to sound like herself no matter what she plays. This CD has some f the same ideas she has shown in some of her others, but here they are met and matched by the other musicians in the ensemble.

If you are already familiar with, and enjoy Susan’s work, you’ll find this a worthy addition to her body of work. If you’ve not heard any of her other CDs, this would be good choice to get acquainted with her.

Indeed, it's a terrific album and, as you say, the interplay between musicians really brings it to life.
