That's the way that song goes, right there. _________________ My rig: Infinity and Telonics.
Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg? |

Nikolai's a great guy and a super talented and dedicated player. I had the pleasure of touring with him a couple years ago. It was inspiring to say the least. I thought he sounded good back then. Nice Mullen you got there Nikolai, sounds great! |

Wow! Excellent beard as well.
About the tune in general - I love the open string approach. Reminds me of playing the dobro - ya got no pedals so you use some open strings in combo with fretted strings.
Hat's off Nikolai! |

Thanks all! Joel, the feeling is mutual. Hope we can link up before too long- i'd love to hear what's been cooking in your world. Jim, i agree and it's all the more impressive how early in his pedal steel playing he recorded this stuff. He approaches the tuning from every conceivable angle, even back then. Dale, i drink a lot of turmeric smoothies to strengthen my thumb joint. Then i add protein shake mix to it and do a lot of thumb wrestling to bulk up... Lol kidding. Curly chalker or john hughey's c6 playing will definitely bring on the "lockthumb" for me. |

Nikolai, you're a great player... Wish I'd known about Tumeric/Black Pepper years ago... Been taking about 2400 Mg for 3 years or so, but by then the damage to my thumbs was done... I'm bone on bone at the base of both thumbs and they wanted to get me in to do surgery back then... The Tumeric has been a Godsend as it's really kept things at bay... I do get hitches in my giddy-up, but you can probably tell where đŸ˜‰ _________________ Dale Rottacker, Steelinatuneâ„¢
