Well thanks fellows that's awfully nice of you, freezing weather up here on the great plains, it was good day to 'chill out' on the steel, i didn't get chance to warm up! haaa

Marty; Its a standard 10 string E9 tuning, i have a few tweaks i've come up with to help ease the madness.

I say Marty, i really love that Tracy Byrd song, 'Texas truck' that has some insane C6 playing on it, was that Paul on the session? Do you have to play those chops? Those are crazy good!!! Very Happy

I love that stuff, Larry - not much call for it round here!

It's a good demo of how E9 can sound like C6

Idea it's basically A6, isn't it?

Thank you Tucker, Larry and Ian, it’s just good old standard E9 10 string. I appreciate it pals. 😊

Larry, just saw your question about Texas Truck. That is Milo Deering on that entire cd. We did that song for awhile and I had to do my own thing. No way I had the time to find that stuff he did. I will say that I contacted him via FB to be sure of one of the changes that he used on that tune and he called me immediately and answered my question while waiting for a flight. When we played a package show later on we didn’t have the time for me to pick his brain about that solo or I would have had been busy with my pencil and tab paper !! LoL

Take care

That was some fine picking, Larry. I had an older MSA like that for a few years and really like the tone. I never had your chops though...
