Hugh Briley did a great job on the case! Thanks Hugh! I am estimating the manufacture date based on information contained in the listing. I am open to any correction or other thoughts. Of course, if you wanna buy it, I am open to that also! Smile

Buyer pays for the ride from zip 01451 or can pick it up for a $50.00 discount. If shipped, the case and instrument will be well packaged to withstand the normal level of abuse provided by our friendly USPS/ UPS and FedEx shippers.

Appears to be circa 1948 to 1951 with a few non-original parts. A 1952 would more than likely have the newer adjustable pole, P-90 pickups.

Thanks for the information Jack! I appreciate it. Yeah, the tone pot knob doesn't look original ... anything else?

Unless I'm reading it too fast and missing a detail, the book has it going over from 3 legs to 4 in mid-1950. So that would zero in on the date even more. All pictures show a small ashtray cover over the bridges. This may be one of those rare-as-hen's-teeth things, like old Tele covers?
Gorgeous guitar.

Beautiful guitar! I just don't have room for it right now - I'm clearing everything out of my storage building and am flat out of room!

None of the knobs (save perhaps the pickup switch tip) are original. '46-49 are tall barrel knobs without numbers, '49-52 are tall barrel knobs with numbers. Might want to pull the control plate, and look at the pots to see if they're original. If they are, they may have a readable code from which you can at least date the pots. I'm guessing '49-50, based on the oval pickups and 3 legs.

Thank you Jon and Dave. Your feedback is much appreciated. I will have to look at the pots more closely. They seem to be original as they had what appeared to be original solder joints and very slight amount of surface corrosion due to the oxidation of the zinc or cadmium plating, I am guessing.

Thanks for the kind words.

Yeah, the only reason I am selling it is that I keep on slamming the A & B Pedals and doing the RKR and RKL thang... But nothing happens! Smile
