From the 1995 Southern Steel Guitar Guitar Convention Saluda, SC USA
For those of you that remember, Larry was disabled in the early ninties by a rare disease called Ataxia. He went into seclusion for almost 3 years.
After much prompting by his wife and myself, we finally got Larry behind a steel guitar again.
This was his 2nd outing with me and I was surely proud to help my friend feel comfortable onstage once again.
It was a fun day. Full of laughter, crying, mistakes and the whole gammit of emotions.
For those that want to know, Larry was playing through a Peavey Session 400 Limited (the only one I ever heard that could make this amp sound good) and I was playing through my Peavey Session 500 (the beast).
Enjoy Larry Sasser and myself along with our pals:
Guitar - Woody Ledford
Guitar - Jerry Couch
Bass/Vocal - Jerry Braswell
Drums - Wayne Stowers
Wow, this is 27 years ago.
