this poor guitar was completely trashed , I can’t even remember what all Henry repaired on it, from all new mica, installing brand new Michael Yahl knee levers, holes in cabinet etc... to sending C6 pickup to Mr. Swartz for rewinding ... this baby now plays like a dream, and tone, oh boy lol .. tone is out of this world ... however, after years of neglect and abuse, this instrument is back in its full glory, ready to conquer any stage or studio on this planet ... thanks to my buddy for bringing this awesome instrument back to life ... 🙏 ... also big thank you to Michael Yahl , Jerry Roller, Billy Knowles , Scott Swartz and guys at Advance Plating in Portland, TN. for their help as well ...

Very nice! A work of art to be able to do restoration on that level. Henry, you are the man!

Thank you Erv, it took time, hard work and money , to bring this guitar into this condition, this guitar was terribly neglected and abused , but it’s all good now, it’s back and ready to make some great music again, for many years to come ...

What is the serial number on this beauty? Is it it an invoice number? And I wonder if that hole in the cabinet was for mounting a microphone on a gooseneck stand?

It’s invoice number, but can’t see second digit on this pic, I think it’s either 6 or 8...

that hole was for this gadget , whatever that is ... Henry removed all the junk that was on that guitar, underneath and in the necks ... I think he has the whole bucket full of it ...

The square cross bar gadget on that guitar was some sort of device to put pressure on the aprons of guitar, now why, I don’t know. You could twist on the bar and it would put pressure on aprons and turn other way, would pull aprons in.
Now why the fiber glass was in the necks, don’t think I’ll ever know that. Maybe it was to loud, lol.
Also, the old flocking was gummy and gooey, I guess either from spray on WD-40 or maybe just years of cigarette smoke.
