I played my first Country Music Gig in about 6-8 years last night.
Usually I play PSG only occasionally in Country Rock/Ameripolitan Band. I was invited to sit in with a CM show and I discovered how much I missed being just a PSG player!
I had to tell them I don't sing etc. so they would leave me alone.
I discovered how much I'd forgotten and I really need to get back into it.
I have really missed playing my gig PSG (a Zum) as I usually only play on my practice one, on old ShoBud.
I also got out my Peavey Nashville 1000 amp and it sounded amazing and I got heaps of compliments on my sound and playing. They also have been starved for PSG players so It didn't matter that I was a bit rusty.
I'm hoping it will get me back out there and playing more PSG.
Keep safe
Sandy

It is always nice to get out and play. My band only did 4 shows this summer. Glad you had the opportunity.

Getting out and playing period is a great exercise in fun and humility. Trying to fit in while adding something clever and musical. I will continue to play out as long as possible. Keeps us young.

We played 3 shows this year. 95% of our shows were canceled because of virus.
