Placement of Certano benders

Hello all.

Is there an "optimum" placement for the bender unit?

i.e. optimum distance between bridge/saddle and bender?

Or, how much room behind the bridge assembly is required.

For my Electro Hawaiian Jr. he said 1 inch behind the bridge.
