The SAS have a saying about a man who fits their unit, he is one in 100 and is hand selected, they say he has ‘the stuff’ It’s his DNA and the way he is wired, he can’t help it if he doesn’t have ‘the stuff’
All of the steel guitar legends, pioneers, past and present, had/have ‘the stuff’ we know what it is but we can’t really explain it (nor can they) all we know is that they have ‘the stuff’ in their DNA, intelligence, willpower to win and passion, dedication, developed skill set. Listening tonight to the great Tom Morrell and the legendary Gary Carpenter reminds me that some guys just have ‘the stuff’
Unfortunately and it’s part of the ecosystem not all of us can have ‘the stuff’ I personally don’t have ‘the stuff’ but life goes on with or without ‘the stuff’ I would not have it any other way, love pickin and all the friendships and life it has brought, just my two cents for the day, it’s a little bit out there😎 but it’s something to think about....have a great weekend pals.ðŸ‘🻠|
