My home set up has gotten pretty complicated so I have a guy who uses Teamviewer to get into my desktop and help me when I'm stuck. It works great and has saved me a bunch of times. For you guys that are new to this stuff it might be a great service. You can have your phone open and talk while the tech guy works on your computer. It does cost money though. I pay my guy around $40 an hour but there are some cheaper guys out there.
With all this tech stuff there is no reason to be lost in the weeds. _________________ Bob |

Bob,
That's a great idea. The key is finding a person that you're comfortable with that also has the knowledge and skill to address the issue; whatever the issue might be. _________________ Remembering Harold Fogle (1945-1999) Pedal Steel Player

Good advice Bob.
If it's like the apps I've seen, you can also 'watch' the guy poke around, fix things, etc. Our company has some sort of remote access tool for IT support, and a time or two I've gotten things in a state where an 'expert' had to sort them out.
It's interesting to see the guy 'driving' your computer, and you can usually learn something by watching what he does. |

I use FaceTime for the caller so I can give him a view of my hardware, wiring and give him the ability to see how problems are affecting things outside of the computer. It’s pretty amazing . _________________ Bob |

Bob -
I hear you played with my good friend Nick Sizemore recently. I was glad to hear that he was able to find a great player to work with while he was in TX. _________________ Tim Harr
