He has a few solo albums as well. The latest one, from 2020, as a song-by-song instrumental cover album of the Randy Travis album Storms or Life, but called Storms of Steel (and he works Steel into the title of every song). |

Adam Kurtz is likely my favorite steel'er. I've had the opportunity to catch him with American Aquarium, Sarah Shook and Disarmers and Joshua Ray Walker and on a couple occasions chat it up. Because of those conversations, Adam convinced me to purchase my first steel and push to always be learning and developing.
If you ever have the chance to catch him live, it's an unforgettable experience.....mind blowing. |

Ditch came through Santa Cruz 2x this year and I chatted with him at each show. Nice dude. Fun to watch. Validated my impulse buy of a steel this year to start learning.
He was more at home with Joshua Ray Walker v. Sarah Shook since he played on the latest JRW record.
Summer Dean’s steel player Muskrat Jones is another guy I met a couple weeks ago at a show in Felton. He was awesome! _________________ -Eric |

Cool! Kinda like Sons of Champlin with pedal steel guitar. Anyone else remember the Sons and Bill Champlin? _________________ E9 INSTRUCTION

Thanks Frank, my brother in law asked me this morning who the steel player was and was blown away by him, thanks for posting the clip from this morning!
And yes, John my friend is good friends with Bill Champlin and the late Mike Finnegan. _________________ Regards, Craig
