OK, this is not your grandpa's Jerome Kern and purists will hate it. But standards are free for the taking, so I took it. I've been playing this for years and I always hear it in a new way. This is how I heard it tonight.

The reharmonization is my own. Lap steel, synth and drum loops.

What a treat! I guess I'm not so tired of that old tune after all.

ATTYA is a tune that never stops feeding me, though I don’t actually love the song that much itself. I feel like there is a lot of possibilities in there.

I hated the way I played the melody, it was originally just goint to be a placeholder for a contrafact, but the chorus and its sparseness really works in this context.
