I heard song writer and former TV show personality Mac Davis has died. If true, condolences to his family and friends.

As posted in another thread, Marc was a huge star and singer/songwriter, loved his music, humor and personality, check out his story, very interesting.

My daughter lived in Mac Davis Lane in Lubbock until she graduated from Texas Teck in December, and funny thing is that her apartment was exactly on top of the address that Buddy Holly was born and lived his first four years.

He was a good childhood friend,,,real clean cut, always spic and span. He was 2 years younger than me,,his sister was my age,,we all used to walk home from school together. He's always been one of my heros.

My thoughts go out to Mac's family.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Mac, but am one degree of separation from him.

Mac Davis attended a school run by my grandmother (The Jackson School) in Lubbock, TX at some point, though he ultimately graduated from Lubbock High.

Sonny, did you ever attend the Jackson School?

This is sad news. I always liked his "easy" style.

My condolences to the family.
