You might add what scale length(22.5"?) these gauges are based on b0b. |

Good point. I never really think about that. My lap steels are all 22.5", I think. My 8-string Sierra is 24.25". My pedal steels range from 24" to 24.5". I'm pretty sure the gauges will work on any scale length - I use the same with any guitar I set up.
It sounds like a good topic for the Steel Without Pedals section. How much difference is there in string gauges for short vs long scale? I don't know the answer. _________________ -𝕓𝕆𝕓- (admin) - Robert P. Lee - Recordings - Breathe - D6th - Video |

Ideally a 22.5" scale high E is .016 & for a 25.5" scale is .014 and a lower E is .056 and .048 respectively - probably the what you have would work regardless. |

On double-checking, I see that the E/A gauges are wrong. I need to redesign this. I've pulled them from the web site. Sorry for the confusion. _________________ -𝕓𝕆𝕓- (admin) - Robert P. Lee - Recordings - Breathe - D6th - Video |

Taking Jim's expert advice, I've adjusted them a bit heavier for the typical 22.5" short scale. I think they'll work well on any lap steel up to 24". The original post above has been updated. _________________ -𝕓𝕆𝕓- (admin) - Robert P. Lee - Recordings - Breathe - D6th - Video |
